A small-scale boutique farm located in Milton, GA, Levity Farms aims to raise clean, healthy food for the metro Atlanta area. Now in their second year of production, Levity Farms owners and food-enthusiasts, Zach and Ilana, specifically grow salad mix, root vegetables, herbs, and flowers for farmers’ markets, preschools, and local restaurants—including us! With a background in permaculture, the duo strives to raise their Certified Naturally Grown produce as sustainably as possible, making us proud partners. Read on for a few things we just had to ask.

Is there a significance or story behind the name of your farm?
The word "Levity" had a couple meanings to us. Not only does it mean adding humor or lightness to a situation, it is also the inverse of gravity. Plants use levity to rise out of the ground.

What’s your favorite product to grow and why?
That's a tough question, because it changes almost every day, but at the moment, our favorite crop is green wave mustard greens. We also enjoy our favorite pollinator crop, Comfrey. Comfrey is not necessarily edible, but it adds a great touch to Levity.

What fact might people be most surprised to learn about you?
Zach witnessed a live diamond heist in downtown Buckhead in 2006.
